Skye joins in the fun at the chickens' birthday

This photo of Skye was taken this evening, I think it just shows how much she has grown over the last few months! (The photo at the top of the blog is her the day she arrived at our house at just nine weeks of age) She's already seven months, the time is flying by. Before we know it we'll be celebrating her first birthday!

Skye's still getting used to her Halti. So far it's all going well. She is starting to accept it - she'll wear it for 10 mins or so then she looks at me with her "please take if off now" face - this photo to the right hand side shows her way of communicating this with me! The other day I put her Halti on and then played in the garden which she enjoyed and it distracted her from  the fact that she was actually wearing it. She's getting there.

The chickens had their 2nd birthday this weekend complete with cake and a party! Beth got everybody to go into the garden to present the hens with their special cake made from pasta, rice, vegetables and other food that the hens enjoy. Skye joined in the fun too! I put her jacket, halti and lead on and she stayed calm even though around her there were the sound of excited voices and food that probably smelt nice to her.

Watching as the chickens tuck into their cake
