A fun time at the AADI Sponsored Dog Walk in Doneraile Park

Today we went to AADI's Sponsored Walk in celebration of International Assistance Dog week. It was in Doneraile Park, Co.Cork, so it took us about an hour to get there. Luckily Skye is a good traveller and was happy in the back with Amber. When we arrived Skye got to say hello to all the other dogs, including some of AADI's other puppies in training and trained dogs. Then we set off for the 2km walk. It was Skye's first time wearing the Halti out and about in public, and she was really good, hardly noticing she had it on! She walked really well on the lead, and didn't get too distracted by the other dogs - there was no pulling to get to any other dogs which was great. She was very confident and friendly towards both the people and other dogs. Amber can sometimes be shy with crowds, but she was really relaxed and confident too. I believe that Skye has really helped her. Skye even ignored the pond,  she didn't try to go for a swim,  unlike Amber who nearly dragged my sister Caitlin in for a splash!

Everybody enjoys the walk!
Skye meets Toby, another Puppy in training, he is a Bernese x Beagle mix, and very cute!
Amber gets a cuddle from TiarnĂ¡n
Skye and I enjoying the walk!!

Amber and Skye meet another Bernese and a Rough Collie (at least I think it is a Rough Collie!)
