Skye's day away

 

Ready to go!

 Today we had to go to Dublin for the day and we decided to take the opportunity for Skye to practise being away from us, so we left Skye and Amber with our friend, Eleanor. Eleanor is the dog trainer who runs puppy class and both dogs adore her. Amber has been cared for by Eleanor lots of times before, however this was Skye's first time.
                            When we collected them at the end of the day, Eleanor said Skye had been very good and that Amber and Skye loved having each other - they really are best buddies and Amber makes it her duty to keep a watchful eye over Skye! She also said that Amber was more settled away from us as Skye was with her.

Eleanor said Skye met her cat too. Skye has only met a cat at close quarters once before today. Eleanor told us that Skye wasn't bothered by the cat - she just laid down looking at him slighty concerned but with no intention of chasing him - which is good news!

Skye also spent the day socialising with Eleanor's dog, a greyhound called Hannah.

I felt it was good for Skye to get used to having a day away without us, and it seems she was happy and well behaved!
