Today Skye came with us when we went into town. This was her first training session "out and about" since her operation. At first she wasn't as well behaved as I had hoped and I suspect that she was just out of the way of things as she hasn't been able for a while. We were walking along and then she sat down, refusing to move outside Macdonalds - she could smell all the food and fancied going in to polish off the leftovers. One lady spotted her and came outside to meet her, she thought it was so funny - however, I wasn't so amused!! Getting her to keep walking past Macdonalds was difficult but I managed it in the end and then rewarded her with a treat.
We then took her to the dentists as Mammy had an appointment. I went into the waiting room with Skye but then the nurse asked if I'd like to take her into the treatment room where mammy was (we thought she wouldn't be allowed!). She was very good and settled down fast asleep even with the drilling noise from the dentists equipment. I had to wake her up when it was time for us to leave!

She had a long nap at the dentists and then she was much better behaved and walked around without stopping. We took her into Boots and 5 of the staff crowded around to meet her. She loved all the fuss and rolled over for a tummy rub! They all said "she's so cute", "isn't she so lovely and beautiful", while she lapped up the attention!

We kept the trip short so she didn't overdo it and she hopped into the car when I asked her. When we had first arrived she waited for me to put her lead and jacket on before jumping out of the boot. Overall a good outing given the break she had had.
