Then we drove on to the shopping centre down the road, and she was very good in the lift. When she was very small we took her in quite a few lifts so now she is used to them. There was a big improvement in walking, it was so much better. I kept thinking "she's going to sit down and refuse to budge any minute now" but no, she proved me wrong and was a star. I was very impressed. Mammy, Beth and Orla went off to buy some food and I grabbed a basket and went off to fetch some things for Mammy. Skye followed at my side and I rewarded her with a treat. While I was looking at the shelves, trying to decide what flavour of soup to get, Skye sat down quietly. If somebody stopped to greet her, she just got a bit distracted. She is certainly beginning to tell the difference between 'working time' with the jacket on and 'free time' when the jackets off. This afternoon, she was running around like crazy chasing after Amber in the garden acting like a completely mad dog. Then this evening in the shops she was so calm and well behaved - like a different puppy! A lady even commented about her behaviour (positive!) saying "she's so calm for a five month old".

Off to the Shops!
This evening we went out to the shops. First we went to a pet shop (to get Skye a new bed and some treats!) and then to a shopping centre. She got quite excited in the pet shop; she was very interested in the small furry animals (she always is!) but this time when I called her away she came - on our last trip she was too distracted. Then there was all the yummy treats (some not even in packages) at nose height, which she luckily ignored because I could have imagined her wolfing them down as quickly as she could! So overall that trip went well, and she was very happy when a few people came over to pet her - she wagged her tail like mad!
A very successful trip!!
