We live beside a farm, so next to our house we have a field that the farmer lets us walk the dogs in, as long as there are no cows in it. A few weeks ago the grass was so long as they were growing it for silage, and we didn't want to take Skye for walks in there as there was a risk of ticks. Instead we were either walking them down the road, or at the community pitch. However, earlier this week the farmer mowed it and collected all of the grass up, and now we have a few more days (hopefully!) of enjoying it before they put the cows back or muck spread. Skye wasn't at all scared by the machinery they used, even though it was very noisy. She was happy enough outside in the garden, despite the fact that the big tractors etc were just the other side of the fence.
Last night all of the family came with me, Amber and Skye for a run around in the field, although rain was threatening it stayed sunny, and we had a great time!
