On the way to class! |

Skye went to puppy classes the other evening. Amber came too. We are lucky that the classes aren't far away from where we live, it's only a short drive. The dogs know when we pull up in the car that we are at classes, they get very excited and are desperate to get out and see their friends! Sometimes when we walk into class they forget their loose lead training and can pull, they just have one thing on their mind: Got to get to my doggy friends! The dogs at class this week were Charlie, Hannah, Lady, Shelley and Jack. They had great fun playing and running around with them. We asked about Skye's licking and the advice was to ignore her and walk away when she licked. So we will do that and hopefully soon she'll learn. The pups get to play outside in an enclosed area, so it is a great place to let them off lead and practice recall. Sometimes they are so busy playing that none of them come, but they can't go far and it's safe so it's not a big problem - except it means you don't have a reliable 'Come' command! To be fair though Skye is getting very good now though at coming when you call. It's fantastic for her to go to puppy classes, as there are lots of dogs and people to socialise with. When we get back home they are always so tired that they fall fast asleep for the evening!
