The other day we had some visitors: two cows came to see us! They managed to push down our fence and get over it. Skye was asleep at the time, and Amber was outside playing. When she saw the cows she came back inside! Daddy tried to get them back into the field but they weren't having any of it. In the end Daddy had to call the farmer. While we were waiting for the farmer to come, the cows came and stood at the front door, looking like they wanted to come inside, at which point Skye woke up and looked suprised to see the cows there! It was just as well we have been getting her used to cows recently so she wasn't scared. Luckily the door was shut so they didn't walk in! When the cows spotted the farmer walking up the field they decided to head home and managed to get back over where they had pushed the fence down.

The cow was there to greet Skye when she woke up in the morning! |
As Skye and Amber aren't terriers (who like to dig) or scenthounds (who follow their noses) they have no intention of running off so we don't have to worry about them escaping into the field where the cows have pushed the fence down.
